Just me plain and simple!

I’m not a raving beauty,
I lay no claims to fame.
I’m Just plain and simply me,
Though i’m not totally tame.

I don’t wear fancy clothing,
My hair’s not done up fine.
I don’t dine on fancy foods,
I don’t drink expensive wine.
~
I eat meal made from hamburger,
I eat pizza now N then.
I get my milk from the cow,
I get my eggs from the hen.
~
I didn’t go to fancy schools,
I don’t drive fancy cars.
I don’t belong to country clubs,
My house don’t have a bar.
~
I’m just me plain and simple,
That’s all i’ll ever be.
I’m not into materialistic thing,
I love the things that are free.

Great write!!! I know that feeling I grew up in Alabama and moved to Houston feeling out of my comfort zone!!

Another great write! It can relate to many people that feel the same i.e. was not the popular girl in school or is not a pretty picture now etc!!! Such a truthful poem and has inspired me to go write, which to me is the sign of a good poem!
