I wrote this for my husband. He just lost his boss and dear friend to cancer.

I know you are hurting.

I hurt for you.

Please know that I’m here for you too.

I’m by your side and see all you go through.

I know it’s hard to lose a friend.

Especially one that was a great man.

I promise your pain will come to an end.

Slowly your heart will begin to mend.

Tomorrow holds no promise for today.

I assure you your memories of John won’t fade away.

John will be with you in your mind.

Shouting ‘BILLY’ from time to time.

Life is precious, keep your family close.

It’s during times like these you need us the most.

With open arms and smiling faces.

We want you to seek our warm embraces.

Thanks Textual Feast, in times like these the hubby likes to pull into a shell, however he was able to talk to me about John last night.

Bolive, Okkhattak, and Textual Feast, thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

    God Bless!

Kristie, this is very thoughtful of you. Best regards from my family. Losing those who are close is never easy, but having you by his side, I am sure he will get through. He is lucky to have someone who is so thoughful and caring. My deepest regards in your time of loss.

Thank you lyricwriter. It saddens me to see his pain and he has been trying more and more to talk about John to me. He is doing a good job but the tears still come. He still feels it was so unfair to lose him but understands that he is no longer suffering. God Bless!
