For anyone who has ever found themselves in a self-destructive relationship.

Dashing ahead at break-neck speed

Toward certain destruction, wondering

How was it I was so easily influenced

Convinced to give my life for your cause

A cause I don’t believe in

One I was sure you’d abandon

Once realizing the sheer stupidity

Of your plan

Instead it was I who

Was persuaded, led to believe

The story you wove so brilliantly

‘Til now I, hand in hand with you,

Run swiftly toward the jagged cliffs

Wow…you nearly took my breath away with this one, beloved…I tip my hat to you–’cause it takes alot to make the Oversoul, grandmaster-poet say “Wow!” Bravo.

I am inspired to write on “kamikaze love” and link your poem. Girl you hit it on the head with that title and poem. I never thought of it that way but you are so right a self destructive love is a kamikaze death. Good job!

Your poem was beautiful. I think that a lot of people can relate to it because quite a few people have made the mistake of being in destructive relationships.

The title is awesome for this poem. I think at some point or another we all fallen in this trap of believing lies and stories. It’s almost like a vicious cycle when we are in love. We know that someone is not right for us, but yet we keep making excuses hoping they will change and we become disappointed when it all comes to an end. Great work.

You are a very brilliant soul. I love the title and what it implies.

The poem reads well and the title is well chosen. And yes most of us have been there at least one time in our lives

We are hungry for real love, and that hunger can take us in all the wrong places if were not careful. Serious stuff. Thanks for the share.

You pen pain so well. It is never too let go, even after you take the plunge your wings can still spread so that you can once again soar.
