Oh beautiful one of the first peoples of America…

Chauchetiere between 1682-1693

Saintly, fearful of the Old One and marked by suffering.
Understanding from high trials abound.

Blind and wise they say but all seeing in pain and
suffering is the sweet Blessed Kateri.
Heart shining for the sick and the aged.

When young like 29 death would find you.
Study a faith not of your own people.
Faith among adversity from the Native ones.

Running when forced by all misunderstanding.
Your trials and tribulations pleasing to
the Nazarene.

His flower among the new world.
Prayer and holiness dedicated to
the one of Old in the newness.

Spiritual guide from the Paraclete.
Your totem would be prayer,
penance and love found in the
Great One.

Ugliness imposed by the “sick
skin death” would disappear in
the Great Sleep of Eternity.

Beauty blazing from the soul within.
Your pain and tribulation would
be offered for the millions to
come from the dark sleep of
eternal youth forced so young.

People of the native would find
you a special place in the heart
of their nation state.

Upon your natural, short demise
people would find healing’s from
your youthful appearance into
the unknown revelation to come.

Abused and marked but of the
beautiful golden soul.
Shining down through the time
of Eternity.

You will be always, “Fairest
Flower among true man”.
