Life throws unexpected problems, but you know that you have to keep moving.

As you take another step, you notice all the broken glass, a runaway tire.

You spent all the night screaming, wondering why you let them drive.

You see the bodies strewn across the ground, flashing lights are everywhere.

Your heart has gone numb, you cannot feel a thing.

You see the paramedics trying to save a life, police are questioning you, but all you want to do is cry.

No one could have prepared you for this! But you keep moving!

Another hurdle of life and you keep moving on.

The time seems to go so slow, you wonder how you will ever make it.

You take a closer look, he was with you yesterday. A healthy active person, how could life have resulted in this? With tears in her eyes, the nurse pulls up the sheets. Covering the lifeless body. You wonder how life could have thrust this upon you. How it could leave you feeling numb, how you could still be alive.

You wonder why this happened. You question life’s purpose. You don’t want to move on; you don’t want to keep going. All you want to do is sit down and cry.

You wonder how to start an old life. You wonder how to begin. How can you live with grief hanging over you? You wonder how you’ll ever make it.

You know that more things will happen, more things to cope with. You realize life is hard, and you don’t want to deal with it. There will be another ditch in the road, another stop sign. You know there will be another hurdle to jump over. You wonder if it’ll ever stop.

No one could have prepared you for this! But you keep moving!

Another hurdle of life and you keep moving on.

The time seems to go so slow, you wonder how you will ever make it.

But the years go by so fast. There is light in the darkness. You find the hope and courage you need. You know your going to make it.
