Sometimes it’s hard to admit you are wrong.

This morning I kept score

At the arguments I win

I had a good defense

But the walls are wearing thin

Why can’t you be more like

The man I want you to be?

I know that if you changed

I’ve live my days so happy

At noon you kept the score

At the arguments you won

I slammed the door again

Our foundation is undone

Why can’t you be more like

The woman of all my dreams?

I know that if you changed

I’d be happier, it seems

Tonight the battle’s done

And my weakness has not shown

Both knowing we were right

Desperate hearts will sleep alone

Now I see these affairs

They don’t matter much at all

I yearn to see your face

But my pride won’t make the call

Little things that make the world of difference. The question is do you want peace and happiness or do you want to be right, sometimes you can’t have both. I like the way you are able to find the right words.

    …an entire story in itself,
    except for the ending. Great
    writing Josey. Take care.

The inner struggles can be rough…try to focus on the love you share and let the difficulties fall through your fingers…treasure and protect the loving moments and bury the unpleasant ones.
    Beautifully written…

Ah yes, know this well…but not too well.

” When you see through loves illusion there lies the danger, and your perfect lover just seems like a perfect fool, so you go running off in search of a perfect stranger, and the loneliness swells up in the your life, like a fountain in a pool”
    Jackson Brown
