Psalm 119: 161-176

Midst the princes’ persecution,
Though it come without a cause,
Thy Word is my rejoicing,
And my heart remains in awe!
I am as one hath found great treasure,
Lying tongues do I abhor.
Because Thy Law is my rejoicing,
I will praise Thee o’er and o’er!
Seven times a day I praise Thee,
Oh, Thou Judge of Righteousness.
They that love the law Thou gavest,
In their soul shall have great peace!
Thy savation I have hoped in;
Thy commandments me have moved.
I have kept Thy testimonies,
Which exceedingly I love!
I have kepy Thy precepts also,
And Thy testimonies too,
For my ways are all before Thee,
And everything I do!
Let my cry come near before Thee.
Let me understand Thy Way.
Hear the prayer I send up to Thee,
“Oh, deliver me day by day.”
Praise to Thee my lips shall utter,
When Thy statutes I have learned.
I shall speak of Thy commandments,
For Thy helping Hand I yearn!
All Thy precepts I have chosen,
For Thy saving I have longed.
Thy very law do I delight in.
It shall be my soul’s glad song!
Oh, let it live and it shall praise.
Let Thy commands my helpers be.
Like a lost sheep I have wandered.
“Bring my wandering heart to Thee!”
