An artist.
Ken Bultman is a fellow Triond writer and dear friend of my mine. He was quite the beloved figure on Triond when he was active, charming everyone with his humor. Just the other day I had lunch with him, and he kept cracking me up with his wit. He is a writer I have the utmost respect for, and I continue to read his past works, enjoying them time and time again. He is quite versatile, writing factual articles, humorous to sweet poems, and wonderful short stories of his beloved hometown. He is a former newspaper journalist, the only professional writer I know on Triond, writing (as well as photographer) for the Lake Wales News.
Ken is also a talented painter, having sold a few of his paintings, some up to a hundred dollars. He calls himself an amateur painter and not an artist, but I think otherwise. I would love to have a painting by him hanging on my wall. Here is just a sample from his personal collection.

Cute orange kitten sleeping in a shoe, painted with acrylics on wood. Kittens are always delightful subjects to paint.

A picturesque, snow-covered bridge in Franklin County, Indiana – painted with acrylics on gesso over wood. I love winter scenes in paintings. This piece just transports me.

A quaint sign for the Barrel Restaurant, featuring the owner Burt Frizell and donut-loving black lab named Smut. Love the old-fashioned, nostalgic feeling it evokes.

A lovely white swan gliding gracefully on a lake. Painted on a buzz saw. Love the tranquility of the scene. I can imagine its mate following from behind.

A handsome buck resting in a forest. Painted on a buzz saw – acrylics over gesso on steel. A deer in repose is a serene visual.

A pretty doe by the lake. Painted on a buzz saw – acrylics over gesso on steel. This lovely girl seems to be looking for her handsome buck.
