I have finally handed you the key to my soul
You have gently unlocked my beating heart
Unleashed all my emotions
Shown me how good love can be
I no longer get dragged down
I can always rely on you now, to drag me back
Those haunting shadows that once were hear
Are in the distance and no-where near
And for the first time I allow my spirit to soar
I don’t need all this heartbreak and pain anymore
I’m learning to let go
Everyday it gets easier for me to breathe
As your by my side
I have no more unspoken words
The only silence now is the peace we have
So I say goodbye to all those old emotions
The ones I forever kept locked inside
I want to thank you my angel
My saviour
I took my time, but I’ve finally realised
You were always worthy for the key to my soul.
