Mulan setting out from the PoV of her horse =)
The girl was crazy,
There’s no doubt about that
No matter how hazy
She stepped silently over the tatami mat.
She sliced her black tapestry,
Left her beauty on her father’s pillow.
She prayed to her whole ancestry,
Then ran past the family willow.
At first I didn’t recognize her,
As she burst through the barn door.
She was just a blur,
As the bridle in her hand clanked like the weapons in war.
She was scared and unsure.
As her weight settled on my back,
Our goal to me was obscure,
My beloved master secured my tack.
I was worried now,
At the sadness in her longing glance back.
I made a silent vow,
In the night so pitch black.
I would keep her safe,
And bring her home.
She did this not to be in wait,
To keep her father from his roam.
I gave a rear,
Dedication set,
This would be a long year,
I set off like a monochrome jet.
Lucky crickets,
Annoying lizards,
Hiding behind thickets,
Even blizzards.
I’d always be there
