Kings throughout history has always has a queen as well as a mistress or two.Louie XV had a mistress called Madame de Pompadour while married to Marie Leszczynska.King Henry the XIII had a mistress named Mary Boleyn and was rumored to have two children with her thogh he never acknowldged them.And while all this was going on Henry was married to Kathrine of Aragon.So I decided to follow tradition and let King William have a mistress as well.A fitting end to a fictional trilogy that hides a ring of truth in it somewhere.

It was well known that William was a fair king,
Blackmoore castle ran as a castle should have.
Williams knights fought along side him in battle,
many an enemy fell under their mighty sword.

His faithful Queen Kate stood by his side to,
together they ruled the kingdom very well.
Prince William the second was grown up,
the princess Payge an image of her father.

William loved Queen Kate and always will,
she made him a fine queen all these years.
Gave him two children that he dearly loved,
never questioned anything he ever told her.

But the village maiden was a part of him,
a part that King William wouldn’t let go of.
He hasn’t seen her since his royal wedding,
yet King Williams heart never forgot her.

It did not take Devils Wind long to get there,
a tiny well kept hut in the kings growing village.
He knocked on the door and Pagan answered,
seeing King William and bowing low before him.

No words was needed this time only a longing look,
William took Pagans hand and closed the door.
With one kiss the king claimed her as his again,
spending the afternoon between course sheets.

King William sees Pagan when time is allowed,
the beautiful faithful queen is at home in the castle.
Its mostly in the morning or even late at night,
the child Pagan now carries is King Williams.

If Queen Kate knows this she ignores it all,
for a village maiden is not a threat to her at all.
Kathrine will be Williams queen for all eternity,
any of his offspring from them wont be
acknowledged.

But the eight year old Pagan has is Williams
as well,
Bridgett is the spitting image of her royal
father.
In the Spring Pagan gave birth to a son and
another daughter,
they are King Williams but he can never claim
them publicly.

But isn’t this the way of kings of the past and
present?
A queen to rule by him but a mistress to warm
his bed?
But as Pagan has told you from the very beginning
of this,
a village maiden has never been nor will be queen
material.
