The King of this castle runs it with an iron fist and expects to be obeyed at all times. But isnt that the way of any king that wants to run a sucessful kingdom?
Just having fun with one of my favorite things and my fascination with history.Part two and three of this trilogy will be published shortly after this piece.

William will tell you that he is king of the castle

he resides in,

the attire of a regal king is all he is missing but

its ok.

But in all fairness William really don’t need it

to be a king,

he more prefers the colors of grey instead of

a purple hue.

****

William also doesn’t carry a long golden

scepter,

for a modern day king doesn’t need to

anymore.

William will tell you he does carry a scepter

though,

but it isn’t coated in gold and has to stay

hidden.

****

There is a bit of arrogance in this self crowned

king,

but that always isn’t a bad thing in a royal

situation.

Domination is a close second here William has

to admit,

but William also say its very necesary  to run a

successful kingdom.

****

Williams reputation as a very skilled lover is well

known,

seducing village maidens and women of royal

bloodline alike.

From sea to sea and the vast lands faraway

legend tells,

his skills as a royal lover is not questioned by

anyone of the female gender.

****

His regal horse is a tall grey steed called Devils

Wind,

the finest breed of horse that is housed in Williams

stables.

On Devils Wind he has won a great many battles

plus some,

the grand sword Excalibur is always by his side at

all times.

****

But once his duties is done William can just be

who he is,

a renascence man that likes the music of long

ago.

A natural romantic at heart that is well known

about him,

William writes some beautiful sonnets for his

lovers.

****

But make no mistake William is a formidable

force as well,

standing firmly on his ground for what he

strongly believes in.

In love and in war William fights with all

that  he possesses,

fully intending to be the victor when its all

said and done.

*****

But how do you know all this about King

William you ask,

for most royalty it seems are almost unreachable

in a way.

I just smile letting my dark blue eyes light up as I

answer this.

because at one time the king loved me and I

loved him in return.

****

But an Irish village maiden is not queen material

by any means,

wasn’t meant to wed him or be the mother of

his children.

But this king was my lover for awhile until we

parted ways,

there will be no regret then, now or ever in the

future.

****

The king is set to marry Princess Kate in the

Spring,

through her they will have the royal prince the

kingdom needs.

Its up to them if they live happily ever after

or not,

but  maybe or maybe not I will find a village

man to love.

****

But a part of me will always love my wayward

king,

it matters naught how little or long we were

together.

But he had a duty to his his vast kingdom he

calls home,

a beautiful Irish village maiden just wasn’t

queen material.

A very enjoyable piece, especially relating it to the present royal couple. Well done.
