A poem that speaks from the heart of a place long forgotten.

The glimmer of light,
Upon a morning breeze,
Sounds of songbirds,
Amid the sea of trees,
Slowly above the mountain,
The sun now peeks,
Rays of golden sun light,
Wash across bare feet,
Up in the sky,
Floating on endless breeze,
I hear the sound,
The mighty eagle’s cry,
Wild flowers sparkle,
As sun begins to rise,
The droplets of moisture,
Upon their pedals,
Sparkle and dance,
Giving comfort to tired eyes,
The kiss of sunlight,
Gives birth to the new day,
Bringing back memories,
My home so far away.
