Winter, goodbye kiss, memory of summer, the stillness of mind.

In winter’s fields of frozen grass:

flowers bloom somewhere in my mind;

a memory of rupturing cherry blossoms;

pink as a virgin’s lips.

Our green gentle foothills

now covered in snow.

Once up there on that windy hill

we kissed and said good bye.

Dew drops from the mountains

touched our sun flushed faces.

You smelled of jasmine;

the scent imprinted on my senses.

You glowed like a naked energy

with summer sun a halo around your hair.

I will turn my back on winter

and dwell midst the jewels in

the shadows of my mind,
