Scars trails to empty life

Soulless void; perished time

World laced with a rot and pain

Left with insects cold and blind

Each step an ache to inner heart

A heart burnt black to the core

Shattered mirrors hide a face

With one less sin to adore

Bones enfeebled breaking down

On your knee’s you kiss the ground

Prayer sanctifies your mind

While lies are all that’s really found

Whispered rumors down the lane

Puppet strings to people’s worth

Value lost in bitter vain

And every day weighs out the same

Breathing air that chokes false hope

Pondered time lost in my sleep

Viewing all that blinds me still

While standing ground that sinks knee deep
