Knocked Down?

When I first got knocked down

I never thought there’d be another.

I was knocked into comatose

With doubt that I would recover.

But this could be my summer.

This could be my summer.

Sunshine, cheap drinks.

These are all necessities.

Im playin the field trying to do my thing

But all these dudes are pressin’ me.

Then this random girl came and said

“Let me teach you a lesson B”

All these dudes in awe

Like she is something they had never seen.

“Matty shoot for the stars and be who you are”

“I know it sounds corny but you’re destined to go far”

I asked “Can I get you number”

She smiled “This conversations going no further.”

I got home and called my mother.

“Ma, this girl, there is no other.”
