A tale of love and loss, inspired by the wonderful romantic poetry of my fellow authors!

That look I love,
In a simple glance,
The ache within,
As two hearts dance.
A catch in my breath,
That only you bring,
Your hand on my heart,
As the radio sings.
All else fades,
I hold on tight,
Pray it won’t end,
Knowing it might.
So much to say,
Yet no words spoken,
One last kiss,
A precious token.
The door closes on you,
I still feel your lips,
These tears I can’t stop,
As the loss of you rips.
All else fades,
I hold on tight,
Pray it won’t end,
Knowing it might.
Needing you with me,
The pain of regrets,
From truths revealed,
Too late to test.
Time is the enemy,
Fleeting & sure,
Thoughts of you constant,
Pray we endure
All else fades,
I hold on tight,
Pray it won’t end,
Knowing it might.
Knowing it might.

Hold on when you can and let go when you are ready.

It’s love and fearing it’s lost isn’t it?
