My Muslim colleagues are back from their Hari Raya holidays.
One of them, whom I addressed as Abang Ros (elder brother Ros), will always bring us some of their festive delicacies, the whole set is named "Kueh Raya".

Abang Ros is back from his celebration

Same as before, he will give us a present

Packed in nice container, cakes and cookies

Some made by his wife and some by relatives

As the only female, I am always the one to take care

Make sure the guys know and remember to have the share

Also to ensure the lid, upon closing has the ”tiak tiak” sound

Else, cookies will turn soft, cakes turn hard, not as good as now

I take a piece of each and find them very sweet for my teeth

Although they are very delicious and also look quite attractive

Very soon the container shall be empty, I will wash it and return

Container will be kept at Ros’ house again, to be used for next turn

You may think that this set is the same as above, but no, it’s different altogether, only the centre one is the same, this photo was taken by me in 2010, as the container is the same only.

Very colorful. I can only make out the traditional kueh tart(pineapple tarts), Kueh Bangkit and the fruit cake. The rest I’m not so sure.:) Same box different cakes.

@Sharif – I have a recipe book on some of them, the pictures attracted me and I always tell myself that I must learn how to make at least one type, but few years already, not yet started, lol.

Among all, i like the one, 2nd photo (2010 one), the green one, the shape of a leaf, inside peanuts, dunno what’s name, usually i attack that one, the rest not really. I can’t eat much of them, my throat cannot take it,

Ha, lucky you. I’m not as good with identifying the types of confection in the pictures above as I am at stuffing my mouth with them, or rather, envisioning myself doing so… Great post, mate!

Star, being the only female in the group, hope all the male colleagues treat you nice. I had this experience in my first job for a very short time. The cakes look very appealing.

thanks friends once again.

@Mach / Linda – i have been working with guys for very long already, so far I’m happy, there’s no politics among us,everyone treats me well, young or old.. I have heard a lot of problems with females from other dept. However, being the only female, I usually will have to be in charge of other trivial matters, may be a princess or a maid. Ok, I’m now off to cut the mooncakes, may come with another post, lol. Thanks!
