A poem about my niece when she was 2.

Sleepy and grumpy,
Crying, she came to me.
Climbing onto my lap,
It had been awhile since her nap

Once the climbing was a success,
I had to smile at what she did next…
She stopped crying just long enough to give me a kiss –
An unexpected kiss cherished.

I held her near
As she sniffled through tears.
Drinking from her sippie-cup
With her head on my chest and my heart undone.

I kissed her head and she soon fell asleep,
A moment I wished to ever keep.
Watching her sleep in sweet bliss,
I knew I would never forget Kylee’s kiss.

You are tugging at those heart strings so sweetly … the kiss of a 2 year old is something to cherish. Nicely done..

Cute poem. Those are precious moments that just don’t last long enough. Kids seem to grow up way too fast. Well done friend.
