Acrostic poem.

Image via Wikipedia

Labor Day weekend has arrived,

A time for families to get together.

Backyard barbecues and cookouts,

Outdoors in the warm sunshine,

Rejoicing in the nice clear weather.

Driving down to the sandy beach.

A picnic by the vast blue ocean.

Youngsters playing in the water.

Weekend camping in the mountains,

Enjoying nature’s awesome beauty.

Entertaining with a party theme,

Kicking back and having some fun.

End of Summer is almost here,

Nature will soon change seasons.

Dreaming of crisp Autumn nights.

Great poem. Pretty creative on the acronyms too. When\’s Labour Day for you guys? In Singapore, and probably most Asian countries, it’s on every May 1st. Guess it\’s different huh?

I’ve always been a fan of your acrostic poems and good to know that you will have a fun Labour Day Weekend. I don’t know if Britain even has a labour day to be honest although we do have bank holidays anyway. Good poem…

Good verse, Darla. Not sure what a Labour day is though.

Great poem! It i’s right on time since the holiday is right around the corner. It amazes me how you are always able to find ways to write a poem with your title.
