Poem.

Lady Spider

Observe now that fantastic silk

which  shimmers in the sun,

velveteen seductress

oh my! What a web you’ve spun.

Dewdrops hang like jewels,

frost frozen diamonds on a hair

admire the eight legged trapeze artist

balancing mid air.

Steadily she creeps along,

that opportunist spinner.

Those small vibrations of her net

tell her that  there is dinner.
