Lady Under the Bridge

9 Oct 2011

Under the bridge there is an old lady
Wearing mismatched clothes and holds an old torn purse
She talks to people that are not there
She begs of the living to give the dead some care

Most time she tells lovely stories of people long gone
But there are tragedies she tells with such fever
Most give her money just to go away
But some believe and come miles to hear her say

Do not trick, fool or hurt this old lady
For she is the friend of spirits and a few demons
A whole game disappeared one night
That day they had given the old lady a fright

What is the tale of the lady under the bridge
There is more than one rumor being told around
The truth under that bridge is the murder of her son
He is the spirit that introduced her to everyone
