Spring comes with a chance for a new beginning, a time to throw off old outgrown habits and begin anew.

I look from my deck at fresh green leaves
Feathering out poplars and cotton wood trees
Small purple flowers and tulips of yellow
Sun filtering through smooth and mellow

Spring is my favorite time of the year
A time of new birth
A new atmosphere
A new lease on life
A fresh beginning

I toss off my old outgrown winter self
Let me grow strong and new
Better than my old self
Light and free as cool mountain air
I will walk in green grass
With feet that are bare

I will chirp with the birds
I will run with the hare
Spring speaks a language
Any fool can understand
