In the long winding odyssey of life

That walkedat the dictates of Time

To some unknown, unseen, predecided destiny

Along the spun saga of life days dawn and suns set

Events occur, moments roll and Time slips away

But along this trail some incidents leave a mark

On the golden sands of Time as footprints

Creating memories never to be wiped away

By the fingers of oblivion, instead cherished within the soul

Inside bubbles of recollection, always soaring in the heart

The asphalted breast of the street of life

Acheivements acquired through tireless efforts

Are found glistening under the sun of Time as milestones

Awash with sweat from the brow of endurance

And thus walking the trail of life comes the final moment

When the last day dawns and ends

Moulded for once not by one’s own effforts

But by the affection and adoration of kinsmen

And etched with an eulogy, prologue to

A life concluded on the earthly abode

Yet let not hands be idle during the sojourn of life

Let not days be wasted in mindless meandering

Let scores of milestones shines by the trailof life

Scattered as trophies treasured in the minds

Of posterity as acheivements worthy of being emulated

Let not your eulogised tombstone
