Now, in the worst recession known to man, it is the ordinary people and the poor that are suffering the most, not the Bankers, not the Politicians, not the rich. It is the “middle and working classes” that hurt the most. Food is desperately scarce, to have heating in the home, if you are lucky enough to still any, is essential. Otherwise, you freeze.

The Time,
is
late January
2009!

Tens of Millions
of ordinary
people are suffering
now!

They are praying
for
a
miracle!

They are praying
for
a
National Lottery
Win!

Their Homes
are being
repossessed!

They do not
know
which way
to turn!

Every morning
on
the
door-step
drops
yet
more,

News
of
despair!

It is
no joking,

that,
even wooden
furniture,
is
being
burnt!

So that
Families
can
stay
warm!

As for,
the “Local Dump”
it
is
doing a roaring
trade!

In
ordinary People
scavenging
desperately,

for
fire-wood!

The essential thing
each Day,

is to keep
some heat ,
at Home!

Or freeze!

For it is,
the depth
of
Winter!

Also,
food ,
when you have no money,
is in short
supply!

So to eat,

is
the other,
very big
Daily
worry!

The result is
that
Food is being
stolen,
where it can!

From Shops
and
Farms!

How else
can
the
un-working Man
survive!

Also,
now,
nothing is
wasted,

from the
Table!

What used to be
thrown away,

is reinvented
into
Tomorrow’s,

“one”
meal!

The temptation
for many
honest people
is,

now,

I am sad
to report,

is
to
steal!

Something else
has
also occurred!

Forgotten about
old fashioned
food
such as,

Rabbits and
Pheasants,
Pigeons
and any bird
that is edible
too,

are fair
Game!

Liver,
or offal,
of any kind,

is
a
delicacy!

So in this,
the worst recession,
ever known

and created
by greedy Men!

Life for the
Tens of Millions,

of ordinary People,

is
getting
worse!

They are
the
ones,

who are
suffering
the
most!

Not the Bankers.
Not the Politicians,
Not the Rich!

Unless of course
they
spent
and
spent
unwisely!

It is
the
Tens of Millions
of
the
poor!

And
where,
will it all
end?

With
misery!

That is
an absolute
fact!

For
sure!

And let us hope,
with change
too!

Because
this
must
never
ever
be
permitted
to
happen
again!

For
let History
not forget
that
it is
so often,

the
innocent
that get hurt
the
most!

There is a story in the Bible about Joseph and the coat of many colors. He saves Egypt by predicting seven years of famine. He advises the King of Egypt to save and store as much food as possible until the famine hits.

People should live their lives better. If everyone would have saved their money instead of getting into debt they couldn’t pay they would be fine right now. I feel for people around the country but then again I don’t. Get rich quick schemes, un payable loans, lack of educational importance, not saving their money, these are just a few reasons why people are struggling so much now.

Learn economics. The president cannot be held accountable for the current economic situation. Dispite the bad economy in the US there are countries around the world that are in worse shape. Americans never seem to appreciate their own country and its blessings. Try living in a third world country! You are blessed. You are in control of yourself and your future. And you and so many want someone to bail you out everytime the going gets tough. Use the goverment grants to get an education. Get a good, stable job. Save part of your income. Don’t have children unless you know you are financially and mentally prepared to take on the responsibility. Instead of eating out save money by cooking. Instead of drinking beer drink water. Instead of buying new clothes wear what you have or buy clothes on sale. These are things you should do when the economy is good and stable.

    Good poem though.
