A poem regarding the shackles of the mind in the form of factual vs ideals.

Laugh with me my favored friends

Humor me with smiles

Untie the bonds with tie my mind

Free my shackled mind

Laugh with me my little friends

Just make me forget

Poison please my memory

And help me start afresh

Make me drunk on laughter sweet

Take me on a high

Take me up, up high above

Let me freely fly.

With eyes closed, I can fly.

I touch every sky

Never again afraid of heights

My sails are open wide.

Anchors raised I soar,

I’m unbounded forever more.

Nothing is unreachable,

For barriers hold me no more.

Unchained I am free,

I now believe in me.

So big a person I can be,

When ever I believe.

I’m tempted to say “first,” simply because I don’t know what to say. :P

    Mixed feelings in this one.
