Laying My Burdens Down

We all get weighed down by the worries and concerns that this life brings our way, but our Lord is able to carry those burdens for us. We just need to let Him.

Burdens that I hold on to

that I was never meant to carry

the stuff of life that can bring me down

the worries and cares that cause

my shoulders to sag from the weight

I lay them all down at the feet of my Lord

He will lift them up

because He is strong enough to carry them

so that I don’t have to

I’m not a religious person but I do know how powerful faith in something can be. Faith does give us strength when we need it most.
