Many a time, truth can be relegated to the back burner of justice, guilt exonerated and innocence indicted and accused, when, in fact, it should be the reverse.
There seems to be a feeling,
Some lawyers, out of hand,
Rock the very foundation
Of justice in our land.
Consider this awful notion:
They even may eschew
A simple, glaring evidence
Of guilt so plain and true!
Spinning a fabrication
Opening another door,
For the jury to consider
Entering a technical flaw.
Challenging the evidence–
Vehemently refuted,
That the jury might consider
Somewhat convoluted.
When justice itself is on trial,
Puzzled laymen wonder
How such lying lawyers
Tear true justice asunder!
