If we try to run our own lives, we will mess up for sure.

Lest God the sure foundation lay,
They labour in vain that build.
There is no sure foundation,
Lest God direct the guild!
We only wood, hay, stubble lay,
Except it’s done for Him.
Then only can the vuilding be
Gold, silver, precious gems.
So build on Christ, the Corner,
Of lively, precious stones.
Thus will you still be standing,
Whenver the storms are done.
Except the Lord the family build,
They labour in vain to grow.
For only built upon His Word,
True joy and peace can know.
So, fathers, mothers, let God work,
To build your family up.
While serving each the other,
May His blessings fill your cup!
Except the Lord the flock doth build,
They labour and work in vain.
For only those that God doth save
Are truly Heaven’s gain!
So let’s get out among the world,
The Son of God revealing.
But remember “all is vain unless”
The Lord does all the building.
