A poem about missing summertime when the cold of winter comes around.

Let the sun shine upon me,
Oh, I don’t want it to fade away
That’s the best thing about
Warm summer days.
When Autumn falls upon this midwest town,
That’s the end of the beautiful sunshine
I’d give anything to be anywhere else
When the snow starts to shower down
It will be months, until the bad weather strays
Awaiting for sun; on those dark, cold days
The winter makes my bones freeze
All I am asking for is some warmth, please?
Oh, won’t you let the sunshine
Stay for a lifetime
Raining down from the sky
When winter days are not as bright
