Letter to God

Straight from the heart, my prayer for today in the form of a letter to God.

Dear God,

Today I am sad.

So many people that I care about

Are struggling and hurting

Some are in poor health

Others in troubled relationships

Still others are bereaved; grieving

The loss of friends and family

A few need a financial breakthrough

I am sad because

When they hurt, I hurt

Lord, you told me that those who are strong

Should help bear the infirmities of the weak

But I, myself, am often weak

Bogged down with my own problems

I can only lean on You

For my brothers and sisters

Are more burdened than I

Help me to help myself

So that in turn

I may help others

I thank and praise you in advance

Amen! Amen! and Amen.The prayer was answered even before you could reach the end.These are the kind of prayers we need to recite as daily meditations.A lovely one here.Splendid prayer!

This poem captured how I’m feeling right now. I love to intercede and help others when they are “going through.” Sometimes when you are in pain it is difficult to do so. Very nice share. We need God’s continual refilling not only for ourselves, but for others as well.
