A poem about letting go and letting God lead.

Sometimes Lord, it seems like we are at the endo of our rop.

We hold on tightly, clinging to it with all of our strength

We are so afraid of falling,

yet we feel our strength ebbing away

as we get weaker and weaker.

and we realize that we have to let go.

We can’t continue holding on in our own strength.

There are times that God allows us to fall

and He is there to catch us.

Sometimes our falling is the only way

that He can get our attention and

our focus on Him.

Therefore, He allows us to become

so low.

And while we are in our deepest, darkest

pit of despair,

we cry out to Him and he is there

to lift us up out of the mire.

We have finally tired of going our own way.

And then we surrender completely.

We let go of life’s worries and cares.

And He takes us to the mountaintops

And we realize all that we have been

missing by doing it on our own.

So if you are tired and weary.

Stop what you are doing and let go of that rope.

You will fall straight into His arms of love.

Amen, There’s no substitute for putting god in the center of your life.
