The things we see in puddles, reflected.

Lian often whispered secrets
in gracious ways.

She was a tiger hidden
in the lotus petals of her name
and lived her life with wide open hands.

My yin tonic,
around my heart
you solidified dreams of today
falling in the promises of tomorrow.

I remember you,
and poems of jade
spoken against the backdrop
of my plain, stark walls.
I mapped the cities of your heart
with my tongue and my mouth.

Sunlight played with your hair,
laughed along your lips

I see your reflection in puddles
and I miss you.
