An apt description for the non-thinker!

LIBERAL

A thought came near,

Approached my mind,

A wind came up,

And now I’m fine!

My dictionary of word origins has liberal coming from 14th century Old French “liberal” meaning “befitting free men, noble, generous” and back to the Latin “liberalis” meaning noble or generous. It is strange how meanings of words warp over time and distance, how what was once a word for people who valued freedom from control by the landed classes who dominated government has become (at least in the USA) a synonym for left wing (over hear in the UK the Liberal Party is the centre party of the three main ones) and then for woolly thinking.
