"…Hopeful future’s the end of a tunnel of light
Whoever said that life ain’t fair got it right…"

An addition to my poem "Finding Myself," most people can probably relate to this one.

i’ve been thrown into what is now a vicious circle

unprepared to face the challenges ahead

beaten down was my happy-go-lucky

replaced with workaholic-ness instead

i wish i could have known what was i was in for

so much new, away with good old times

emotions changed, too rapidly to stand my ground

my past racing away, faint as chimes

i’ve grown into something that just isn’t me

always worried and tired and stressed out, you see

hopeful future’s the end of a tunnel of light

whoever said that life ain’t fair got it right

so what is the reason

we keep goin’ on?

bigger and better

the plans are all drawn

will we ever have enough

to satify our wants?

to say, hey, look at what

i have and you don’t?

I can relate – to much going on in my life right now. Work, church, unnecessary drama at home….seems there are not enough hours in a day.

Sometimes our want turn into requirements, but no it doesn’t ever seem to be enough, Excellent piece, thanks for sharing.

nice … accept that we learn from both good and bad … its cool to have a broader frame of reference but I agree with you that it tests us beyond what we would wish at the time :)
