A poem about the cycle of a storm in the summer.

Summer heatwave striking
Humidity is way too high
Everything has turned to brown
Appearing as though it’s going to die

Clouds roll in
Could it be some hope
For the rain to come
And allow us to cope

The skies on fire
The thunder roars
Lightening dancing
The storm cloud soars

The heavens open up
The wind begins to stir
The branches swaying
The atmosphere fraying

Pitter patter of the rain
A wondrous cold drink
Into the depths
The water shall sink

Life reinvigorated
The dying now live
The earth has cooled
Glorious storm
How you did give

Love a good thunderous storm, especially out here in the country.

Lovely poem! In just the first few lines, I felt like I’d just stepped outside. (I live in Alabama and you accurately described our weather we’ve been having this week.)
