Life goes on
The day brings sunshine and then a little rain
The clouds go by now as the birds return
A river runs down through the valley’s land
Churning white waters rolling pebbles in the sand
Flowing like long hair the river meets the sea
Who’s pounding long shoreline as far as can be
Open ocean traveler slips through the waves
Speaks his own language that no one else can say

Sliding through the moments that make up all the days
Passing by in distance that seems so far away

One mountain over, snow capped and grey
Nimble footed creatures come down to graze
Temperature then falling followed by night
Nocturnal dweller sees without light
In an open clearing hours before dawn
Stars on black skies shining fade before long
