I wrote this poem six years ago in high school. Critique it gently, friends – I was very young.

I didn’t clean the bathroom;
I forgot a paper, too.
I blew off all the homework
That I told my prof I’d do.

I didn’t solve my calculus
Not lessons one or two
I even slacked on shopping -
I didn’t buy new shoes.

I might catch up tomorrow
(Although I should be through)
But I would skip it all again
For one more night with you.

    Writing is a wonderful thing, no matter what age you engage with it.I can relate to your looking back on writings and perhaos wondering, should I include it or not?. Yes is the answer, always be proud of your work and what it represented for you at the time.I enjoyed the piece, first love perhaps ??.
    Always worth the venture, learning and life will always follow or kick in when it’s ready. Irish Blessings
