A poem kinda discribing life, love and the pursuit of happiness.
The things we treasure in this world,
Are too small to even be unfurled,
It is those moments that can capture,
Us as a whole in a world that is built to rupture,
Our hearts and minds,
When we look back on all we have done,
And discover those battles we had won,
What were those battles for,
Not life or death nor was it for the safety of our children,
But stupid things that build the character we are when things happen,
We care so much on what other people think about us,
What we look like who is wearing what type of sock and all the fuss,
That we become the very thing we try to destroy,
Bullies, racist and judge based on the cover story,
When in truth the judging we do should come on the inner heart,
First impressions can make or break a person on the information from the start,
But what can we say after we learn the story,
Behind the person and the truth behind the lie,
We all can put on smiles for others but it is when others put on smiles,
That we wonder if they are faking it all the while,
We fake our happiness,
Do you know real happiness true bliss,
Tell me, go on, I insist,
Is it when we have the money,
Is it when a person tells something funny,
That we laugh and cause the bliss,
We look for and want to enlist,
In our lives,
Is it the friendships we build with another,
Or love we share with another man or woman,
That makes happy and wonder what bliss can be,
Can we answer these questions be answered in poll,
That base how our political leaders are doing not by the soul,
Of the people of which they lead,
Yeah it is hard to judge those characteristics of how to judge a leader,
Are they any different then let’s say cousin peter,
These are the questions that I often ponder as I look,
At my empty facebook,
In which the only thing I receive is an invitation for an app,
Because I was the shy awkward guy in high school,
Nor was I hip, gangster nor cool,
I didn’t wear the right sock,
Nor did I have the right type of talk,
But that is the life for some of us face,
Until we find the right face,
Of who we are goin to be in this world,
And when we find that thing in this world,
Treasure it and don’t let it go,
Make it your bliss,
Go on I Insist,
