A poem about the beatnik era.

A literary movement
during the 1950’s,
Gathering at bagel shops
listening to poetry
Hipsters who wore dark glasses,
sandals, dungarees, and berets,
They drew pictures, painted and
always had something to say
Somebody that was uncool
was definately a square,
Male beatniks usually had
beards or other facial hair
Passionate about life
and somewhat of a hustler,
That is basically how the
lives of the beatniks were
