Musings on everything with little resources.

“What is the meaning of life?”

An question as old as time,

“What is my place in the World?”

A grain, amongst the billions of grains named people,

“Where do I fit in?”

It sure isn’t on Triond’s Hot User’s List,

“What have I done with my life?”

Not much when held up against super-stars and super-models.

I saw a photo,

Taken of the Earth from Saturn,

I was shaken to the core,

We dwell on barely a speck of water,

A dewdrop in a magnificent ocean of anti-matter,

This Earth we cling to with all our dreams and all our hopes,

“What are you going to achieve?”

Not much really, I have few aspirations,

Maybe; just maybe,

I’ll become inspired,

To do my bit for my loved ones and be a little help around the place,

Then and only then can I conquer the world.

I am with you on this one James! Like you, I am also a ’speck’.

Well, J.D. … we gotta start somewhere. Our perspective on our life compared to the existence of Earth may be small, but our effect on our lives and those around us, that is quite up to us. Inspiration … that’s a mote of dust in your eye compared to what you’ll actually do when you finally decide to do it. Motivation! Find your motivation, the flame that lights your torch, then light it. You have children? Whatever you want to do, if you can’t find the motivation to do it for you, do it for them. Show them that dreams are not far from reality.
We are all specks of dust spinning through the cosmos. But some specks of dust get bigger, gain influence, and move others. One speck of dust CAN make a difference, and history is filled with such specks.
