The newest of my poems.
I live on the edge
Just standing here on this ledge.
I’m looking for the friends that left.
Seems even I have been a victim to theft.
She’s thrown me to the ground.
Didn’t even care if my heart would still pound.
Still I arose to show her love stored within.
I would hold on even after my heart grew weary and thin.
I would never let her go was my promise,
But never did I think life without her was also one without bliss.
She would talk me through those restless nights.
Even after we had heart breaking fights.
I loved her with everything I had.
Now it seems I only make her mad.
Death without reason is better than life without purpose.
She guided me through the pain like a compass.
Pointing me in every right direction.
I must not have shown proper affection.
Now she struggles through her life,
It’s like I stabbed her happiness with a knife.
She still cares for me,
But to her there’s so much more I want to be…..
