A poem about being alone, waiting for someone unknown.

Here I am

Lying on the ground,

Air consuming my whole

Fire screeching through my veins

Blood departing from the inside

Lifeless…

There’s silence over the meadow

I hear it

No more birds chirping,

No streams rushing,

No grass blades whispering,

Everything seems lifeless…

There is none of you in

No guitars strumming

No voice echoing

No melody

I hear no symphony

‘Twas all lifeless.

The grassland’s sleeping

Dreaming of the days gone by

No rumbles of mirth

No hard laughters

No more trace of you

All was the dead silence.

When shall you be home?

I am here waiting

Lingering at the sky,

Holding on to your promise,

Lying on these blades,

Lifeless…
