Life’s sweet heaven of pleasures
Merges with its hell of woes …..

Poem:

Life’s sweet heaven of pleasures

Merges with its hell of woes,

Analogous to dense traffic

In a city with no repose,

With many a lane of joy and pain

The traveler rightly knows;

Where obstacles are so many

And progress fast and slow,

With many a curve and winding way,

The high ground  and the low,

And with many a sign and signal

Helping life’s traffic flow.

Now and then, along the way,

We tend to lose our bearing;

Many a time, heed not the signs

When we may be uncaring,

Or rushing most unwittingly

To demonstrate our daring.

As we must steer our movements

Through life’s traffic on and on,

Among the signs and signals old

Appear those newly born,

But values true, uncompromised.

Indeed, shall not be gone.
