Our God had never promised

That heaven shall always be bright,

That the rays of the sun shall always cast and that never shall lose its light,

Oh, happiness, joyous life shall always be on our side.

Never our loving God had ever promised

Temptation and sufferings never shall pierce our life,

Never did He utter the sorrow in our heart

Shall never come by when bliss had faded its colorful light.

Never our God had promised along our trip to our path,

That fragrant roses and soft grasses shall be on our track,

That never shall we cross the river of anguish,

And that never shall we climb on mountains and rocks!

What our Heavenly Almighty God has surely promised to all of us,

Is a strength unwavering and rest to our weary soul,

Heavenly light to our winding path, overflowing merciful embrace and unconditional love,

Faithful blessing granted to a pure heart

And that there is happiness for every growing loneliness

All of these, Everlasting shall we have!
