Humorous poem about completing a large science project for school.

“Mom, I’ve been working on my science project for two hours. I don’t think that I’m getting anywhere.”

“Don’t worry. There is light at the end of the tunnel.”

Two hours pass. It is dinnertime.

“Mom, I’m hungry. I’m not even half way done with the science project. Will I ever be done?”

“Son, there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

Two more hours past. Christopher has had his dinner. He has worked on his project for another hour.

“Mom, it’s nine o’clock. I’ve got to go to bed. The science project is due in two days. I’m a little more than half way done.”

“Good for you. The tunnel is getting brighter.”

The next day Christopher works on his science project after school. He spends three hours on it. Finally, the project is done.

“I’ve finished my science project. I’m so relieved.”

“See, I told you that there was light at the end of the tunnel. By the way, what did you make for your science project.”

“Well mom, to tell you the truth, I made a tunnel. Oh yeah, there’s no light at the end of my tunnel. It’s blocked off at the end.”
