A poem by cory warr.
Somewhere in the shadows there’s a light
And in the darkness and its hard to find
This immeasurable hole that has been dug
Like a never ending eclipse of a heart
There’s another world, cant escape
The darkness overcomes and seals your fate
Take you biggest breath before you leap
Into the world that your mind will keep
When you fall there is no splash
Just the sound of your heart collapse
Because once your in its hard to get out
That light is no where to be found
But someday some way
I will find that light
Some where in this night
And it will be the best part of my life
The darkness can fade disappear into the hole
You have buried it yet still remains
Those memories chill your mind and shiver your soul
They are the burning essence of your despair
This life will never be fair
You’re bound to fall into this hole
Some people can fly and soar far from the shadows
Some people can climb and run from the gloom
Some people just can’t seem to shake their past
So they hold on to the light
Like it’s the brightest light in the darkest night
I hold mine tight
I will never want to fall again with no light
To brighten up the unlit caves of my collapsed heart
