Love poem, nautical.
Let me tell you of a lighthouse legend born on the cliffs of a lonely sea town,
Where a sailor’s love and life were but one, the sea his queen, the lighthouse her crown.
This legend is born of mighty Micah. A finer sailor had never sailed the seas.
Into his life came magic Miranda, eternal beauty on an ocean breeze.
Twas on a fateful foggy night they met, by the rolling waves and the ocean’s mist.
With only the glow of a lighthouse beam, enchanted by each other, as they kissed.
Tenderly swept up into his strong arms, in a lighthouse loft, they shared their first night.
They shut out the world as their passions danced. Only true love could ever feel so right.
Micah and Miranda were so in love, but she knew his heart belonged to the sea.
Against all odds, she thought she could hold him to face a future so happy and free.
They spent each moment they could together; the beginning of a wonderful life.
Micah came to Miranda on his knees and asked for Miranda to be his wife.
In their lighthouse haven, they were soon wed, and they proclaimed their love for each other.
Love’s destiny smiled down on them that day before sailors, friends, father and mother.
The months went by and their love grew stronger. They laughed by the sun and danced by the moon.
In all the laughter and all the romance, who could have known their love would end so soon?
The call of the sea was bound to happen. Micah answered it with a heart so proud.
Two lovers bid farewell at their lighthouse and Miranda’s saddened heart cried out loud.
Brave Micah met his seafarer’s voyage. The sweet smell of salt lingered in the air.
He felt he could conquer any ocean. Powers of the waters could not compare.
As each day passed, Miranda watched the seas, pining each night for her love’s safe return,
Hoping and praying that he was all right as a single candle for him would burn.
Sadly, Miranda’s prayers were not answered. In tears, she received the heartbreaking news.
A mighty storm had taken Micah’s ship. Dead inside now, she had nothing to lose.
Micah’s shipwreck was found with all hands lost. Miranda’s broken heart could take no more.
Sudden screams of grief sent her head spinning as she bolted through the open front door.
Through the pouring rain, Miranda did run. Visions of Micah running through her head.
She was scarred with the pain that lovers share. Her heart would never believe he was dead.
Micah loved the sea. Why did it take him? This question would haunt his wife forever.
She found herself at the place they were wed, a lonely lighthouse stealing him never.
Many days and nights she roamed the lighthouse, waiting and watching the waves of the sea.
She knew in her heart she could never leave. Lasting love for Micah would always be.
To the high lighthouse tower she did walk. At a foghorn’s blast, she took her own life.
Only the tatters of her gown were found. The sea town mourned Micah, and now his wife.
These lighthouse lovers are not forgotten. Their memories remaining to this day.
Micah’s voice rages over the dark seas while Miranda waits in a lighthouse gray.
Some say they see her roaming the lighthouse, crying for her only love to come back.
Some say they see a lone candle burning in the deep of night where gray turns to black.
Whenever you pass this little sea town, Look towards the lighthouse high on the hill.
Look for brave Micah and his Miranda. Twas a love not even the sea could kill.
