A Scripturally based poem answering What is it like to be a child of God, using a pumpkin as the “object lesson”.

What is it like to be a child of God someone asked me

Well, I replied, it is sort of like being a pumpkin you see

First He picks you out of the patch of man

And washes away the filth of sin the way only He can

He take you out of a hopeless situation

He makes you a completely new creation

Now in Christ Jesus you are made a new

With all of His love and light inside you

His Holy Spirit now resides in me

A bright shining light for the entire world to see

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

(Other Scripture references: 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 1:29; Ephesians 2:12; 1 John 3:24; John 14:20.)
