I’m lost like a shell in the sea

Bouncing across the sandy bottom as the waves pass over me

Hiding inside this place in which is suppose to be home

Like the sky is to the sea it’s nothing more than just a dome

Just as the shell gets pushed to shore

My heart realizes there’s hope for love and more

Trying to struggle to reach the warmth of the sand

I too long for the touch of a protective hand

As the growing soul of the shell becomes stronger

I shall move on and face these fears no longer
